RISE Restaurant

Company: Aedas Interiors Hong Kong & Singapore

I definitely enjoyed the multitude of challenges in re-designing the Marina Bay Sands Singapore All Day Dining restaurant. Firstly, we had to come up with a layout that could sit almost 500 guests, as well as creating a space that didn’t feel vast and exposed, which we achieved with overhead hanging light '“canopies”. Then, we had to work around two existing elements that we were unable to remove: oversized green glazed vases made by a renowned artist with clay from the “Yellow Dragon Mountain” (from which we based the concept); and unsightly ventilation cylinders that we hid behind curved banquettes under the light “canopies”. Finally, we coordinated closely with the F&B team to develop custom fully functional service stations that would provide further privacy for the diners and would help staff manage the expansive venue.
