COLOURLIVING
Company: B.S.C. COLOURLIVING, Hong Kong
As Product Portfolio Manager at COLOURLIVING, I was involved in setting up the ‘Coverings’ portfolio which was a relatively new category for the company.
This required connecting with architectural materials & finishes brands internationally and developing our relationship with current suppliers; gathering and structuring all relevant information and documentation of the products in order to respond efficiently to sales staff and Client enquiries as well as coordinating projects with Designers, Architects and Contractors; presenting new brands and products to Designers, Architects and Developers; providing design consultations to showroom walk-in Clients; providing product proposals for internal Design & Build projects; defining price formulas that would provide the company a healthy Gross Profit whilst keeping in line with the market; working alongside the logistics department in establishing the distribution process for each product – as they range from marble slabs, to rugs or hand-made clay tiles, and many more different types; pipeline and target reports; supporting the marketing department with strategy and content; managing the UX/UI design, content, functions and data input for the new website:
One of the main reasons I took on this position was due to my concern in providing more sustainable solutions for the Interior Design & Architecture Hong Kong market, which we achieved, and continue to work on, by partnering up with suppliers that manufacture products that are more environmentally friendly through, for example, reuse of plastic waste to make hard surfaces, acoustic panels, fabrics and rugs, reclaimed wood, organic mineral paint, recycled glass, lower impact extraction/harvesting like bamboo, cork and clay or even less polluting production methods.
These are the two major projects where we supplied sustainable materials:
